Inspiration / About the Art: I find it intriguing that as children — and even into adulthood — we make wishes on things such as pennies and dandelions. I’ve always wondered why we put our hope in these small, seemingly random objects. I find Penny Experiment appropriate and inspiring toward this as we are using these pennies as hope for a positive change.

Materials: I used watercolor and collage (newspaper, sewing pattern paper, cotton, masking tape) on illustration board, and sealed it with a pouring medium.

Size: 5 inches x 8 inches
