About the Artist: Sheila was born in San Francisco, but moved to Japan when she was 11 months old. She stayed in Japan until she was 18 and moved back to California to attend college. She was a police officer for 26 years retiring as a Sergeant a few years ago. She was pretty successful as a Forensic Artist and the composite drawings I used to do to help catch crooks and other bad folks. Sheila is now taking the journey from the technical and strict discipline of forensic and composite art to fine art. She’s trying to unfurl her wings to fly into this new field but continues to struggle to get out of her cocoon!
