We would love to have you participate in Penny Experiment. In fact, the only way that we will ever reach the goal of $1 million worth of food to food banks is if people like you decide to help out their local food banks and other non profit organizations.

many people find it hard to believe that you can get food for almost free, but to prove that it is possible, I spent 100 days eating well on less than $1 a day. If you would like to learn how to do this (without spending hours clipping, sorting and organizing coupons), I have put together a guide to show you how. Once you learn, you will have a lot of extra food that you can donate to your local food bank and add to the Penny Experiment total. In exchange for learning how to do this, you will receive one of the original 1000 pennies (numbered and signed by me) from the $10 bill.

So far I have been able to purchase $16,634.22 worth of food for for $419.07.

New to couponing, but bought $34.20 worth of food for the food bank for $10.70. Hope to do even better next time!

Have you considered using a graph to show progress towards your goal of a million dollars? Even a simple bar chart would be awesome. (Here’s a page with 16 CSS bar charts and graphs for inspiration.)

If those aren’t your speed, here’s a WordPress plugin called “tally graph” that might do the trick.
