I used up most of the remaining rainchecks (I have enough to get another 20 or so boxes) combined with coupons to get free Quaker Oatmeal Squares cereal – another 90 boxes which was $359.10 worth of food at no cost:

I then took these and the 11 cans of pineapple slices to the Milpitas Food Pantry where I was lucky to find Karen working even though it was her day off (now how is that for dedication in helping to feed local families in need?).

This cereal will be added to the Penny Experiment food purchased master list. With these additions, couponers have managed to buy $7079.24 worth of food for $409.05. This is another small step toward the goal of $1 million worth of food for food banks. Only $992,920.76 left to go…

If you can find a March 2010 copy of all*you (allyou.com), there’s a mail-in offer that helps Feeding America (feedingamerica.org). Spend $10 and, not only will they donate food to Feeding America, but they’ll mail you $25 bucks worth of coupons.
From the tear-out: “For each specially marked coupon redeemed, ConAgra Foods will donate a meal to Feeding America….Each dollar donated to Feeding America helps provide seven meals for American struggling with hunger.”

Erm, maybe the April 2010 edition… I can’t remember but it was definitely one of those two. :/
