If you have a CVS pharmacy nearby, you can pick up some free Fig Newtons this week until Saturday 5/1. They have been marked down to $1.00 each and if you like Fig Newtons on Facebook, you can get a $1 off coupon (which you can print two times on each computer you have). I ended up getting 5 for free that will go to the food bank (and I have to admit that I kept the sixth free box for myself because I’ve always liked Fig Newtons).
You can also do the same deal with Wheat thins that are marked down to $1 and you can get $1 off coupon if you like Wheat Thins on Facebook (which you can print two times on each computer you have). Wheat thins were out at my local CVS so I got a raincheck on them.
If you like Fig Newtons and Wheat this, grab some for yourself. If you don’t, or have multiple computers, drop some off at your local food bank as well. Getting the five boxes of Fig Newtons meant I was able to purchase $9.95 worth of food $0.00:
The Fig newtons will be added to the Penny Experiment food purchased master list. All the couponers combined have now purchased $9384.78 worth of food for $471.27. This is another small step toward the goal of $1 million worth of food for food banks, and means that there is only $990,615.22 left to go…
