Money Mate Kate Scores $204.57 Worth of Food for $23.04

Money Mate Kate went to visit her mom and while there, also made a number of shopping trips for Penny Experiment (how’s that for dedication?). When the totals were all added up, she managed to purchase $204.57 worth of food for $23.04 – an 89% savings. The purchase included the following:

1 Hellmann’s mayonnaise
4 bottles of Pompeian vinegar & cooking wine
4 Skippy Peanut Butter
4 Wishbone salad dressing
2 Krusteaz pancake mix
2 pints of Coffee-Mate creamer
3 x 1-lb packs Butterball 93% lean ground turkey
10 Keebler cookies
1 Lipton tea box
4 Right Guard deodorant
2 Halls cough drops
2 Aquafresh toothpaste

  1. Heh, actually 12 jars of Ragu – that’s a double-row in the photo. I’m particularly proud of getting the healthy ground turkey for .38/pack – I’d have gotten more, but the store was out. However, I put my poor beleaguered mom on the job, and there’s another 4-5 packages waiting for my next visit. Getting nearly-free meat is so rare!
