Laura Houseman had this to say: I started couponing on July 26, 2010 with the sole purpose of donating everything I bought (less the amount I spent) to Rosie’s Place, a sanctuary for poor and homeless women in Boston, MA. The Penny Experiment was my inspiration from the beginning and I’m happy to say that I’ve been able to collect $3000 worth of donations in the past 3 months. I made my first donation to Rosie’s Place on October 26th, 2010. All of the items donated to Rosie’s Place were entirely free.
